Although the B3-s massive height often intimidated opponents, this also made the ultra battle droid a large target, and transporting a unit was also difficult.Īn evolution of the B2, the B3 ultra battle droid was designed by Baktoid Combat Automata and first deployed approximately halfway through the Clone Wars. The B3 featured a red sensor along with green or dull silver plating and measured 4 meters in height. The B3 additionally had a missile launcher located to the left of the droid's neckless head. Two smaller arms were located underneath the primary ones, and these boasted a rapid-fire blaster cannon similar to the one found on the B2 battle droid. The ultra battle droid had two large arms that featured a devastating plasma cannon on the left hand and a flamethrower on the right. Manufactured by Baktoid Combat Automata, the B3 ultra battle droid was based upon the design of the B2 super battle droid, although the B3 was over twice as large and boasted many more weapons.
